It doesn’t feel like months ago since I announced the semi-finalists and putting the spotlight on some of them, but here I am. Talking about the finalists for the Book Blogger Novel of the Year Award. Last year, we had ten finalists. This year, we have fifteen finalists. I blame the quality of the books. I’ve only read parts of two dozen of the semi-finalists and even between those, it was hard to say which one would be a finalist. I’m so glad we have a large panel and every book gets its shot.
The fifteen finalists
Voice of War by Zack Argyle
The Nine by C. G. Harris
The Love Trap by Caroline Goldsworthy
The Lost Sentinel by Suzanne Rogerson

Our Bloody Pearl by DN Bryn
Odriel’s Heir by Hayley Reese Chow

Congratulations to all the authors! For all the semi-finalists who don’t make it through, you’re still a winner. I’ve heard from many panellists that their favourites didn’t make it through so you’ve found new readers. And not just readers. All of the panellists are fierce and passionate about the books they love. The competition is tough, and I already know the scores for the last round will be incredibly close. That’s what makes this competition so fun. At least for me. I’m sure the authors don’t agree though.
We’ll be reading our picks for the final rounds and in December, the winners will be revealed! Are you excited yet?
