This year has been filled with surprises, the biggest one is saying goodbye to my glasses. The surgery happened in May and I spent most of May and June recovering. I’m still not quite there yet, but that’s okay. I’m working on it. That also meant that any writing would be on hold for a while.
Beelzebub’s Bargain
After Lucifer’s Favour‘s release, my attention went back to Beelzebub’s Bargain. I’m still editing the book to make it the best it can be but I’m not there yet. I still aim to release it this year, and if I keep going like this, I know I will.
The story has undergone a major transformation. An 80k-word manuscript turned into a 69k-word one. And now I’m going to add words again, but not the filler that I cut before. It’ll be added for clarity, better pacing, and more details.
Mermaid Story
Mermaid story is the next project I’m going to work on. I already have 25k written down but I’m going to rework a major part of it. I’m going to do a full revision and re-plotting before I’m going to send it off to an editor but I know it’s going to be good. And soon too. My target wordcount is only 50k so I know I get there quickly. The biggest question mark is how long editing will take me. I’ve grown as a writer and it’s a shorter book, so I hope I can finish this book quicker than the previous ones. It also depends on how long my editor will need.

Desert Saga
Desert Saga is the project title for a new series in the Lunis Aquaria universe. I’ve been working on it in the background, thinking about the plot and the characters. I’m still researching bits and pieces and playing around with outlines. But I have a slot with Ravven for the covers of the books so I need to know what I want on the covers. I’ve created a mood board and gathered book covers for inspiration. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with.
I don’t want to give too much away but it’ll be an exciting fantasy adventure. As with Mermaid Story, this series parts of this story already feature in Tales of Lunis Aquaria Do you know which story is connected?
